Introducing… Mr. Froggie

Mr. Froggie stays in his triangle house.

Mr Froggie is a professional executive, immersed in work and climbing the corporate ladder.

He does not like to make friends and his house has no window so that none of his neighbours can look in.

He does not smile but will he always be this grumpy?

Application:

Learn about frogs with your children. You may wish to read this book by Jim Arnosky.

You may want to explain to your child the term ‘climbing the corporate ladder’. Ask them to check with one of their friends what he/she want to be when they grow up. Ask your child what he/she wants to be. Explain that life is a lot more than a profession and our identity should always be children of God before all else! (a good reminder for adults too! or rather, especially for adults!)

Introducing… Mr. Sloop

Mr Sloop stays in a hammock by the beach.

Mr Sloop loves sailing and live by the beach.

He is carefree and the envy of the neighbourhood. He invites children to his hammock, especially Charlie and Carrie Clay.

Is Mr Sloop sure he will stay by himself in his hammock for the rest of his life?

Application:

Spend a day at the beach with your children and expose them to the sloop and the hammock!

Share with them how prayer will help us to be sure of the course we take and share your experience. A great opportunity to highlight the power of prayer in a light-hearted manner.

Read Richard Bode’s First you have to row a little boat, you’ll be inspired to share with your children.
