This is one of my favorites!!!
Baby Blues is about how a couple, Wanda and Darryl, cope with life as parents and the gags are so real, so funny that everyone will appreciate!
This is part of Baby Blues scrapbook series, No. 6 and Wanda and Darryl are going to have a new baby. The cartoons are in black and white but that will not bother you a bit because they are so nicely drawn with a good use of shading. And as I’ve said, it’s real funny!
Baby Blues has a fantastic website too! with archives from Jan 1996.

Came across this comic strip at Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China train station. This is the first of the famous German comic strip, Vater und Sohn (translated Father and Son) by Erich Ohser.
Erich Ohser was blacklisted and arrested by Nazis in 1944 for political cartoons and commited suicide on 6 April prior to his death sentence.
See Wikipedia for further information on German comics and Vater und Sohn websites.
The comics is without dialogue and only with title (i.e. if the china version I have is accurate), colored only for the chinese version (original, black and white). The gags are simple and down to earth but not something I can quite identify with.

The wonderful comic book by Chad Carpenter as introduced in my earlier post .
This latest book by Chad features the gags related to nature (my favorite being the scavengers) and are all nicely drawn. A recommended for nature and animal lovers. Quite a few gags are particular to US or whatever current events at where this comic strip is featured. Apart from that, everything else is wonderful.

This comic strip is simply delightful! About 4 single ladies with different personalities staying in the same apartment. The gags (in chinese) are in 4 vertical frames accompanied by witty ‘truths’ about men-women relationship in modern times. The gags are real smart that play with chinese words and easy to appreciate for ladies.
It’s real fun reading how one of them is so desperate to get hitched while another has lots of suitors lined up. Particularly for the plain jane or bridget jones, it’s a must read.

By mei, on September 29th, 2006 Martin is a young boy who wakes up everyday to a new adventure. In this first book of the series, he finds himself turning into a dragon. On the second morning, he wakes up to find a new friend, a talking dog. Each morning is a short read and it’s amazing that the characters in the comic book are able to accept all these out-of-the world happenings to martin!
Martin’s Morning comic is wonderfully drawn, colored and very often, the characters cross frames. A bit difficult for me to appreciate in terms of the gags, but kids love it (from what I observed in the bookstore).
