Anyone counted the number of times God states in Ezekiel ‘…so that you/they know that I am the Lord.’ I’ve a nagging feeling that this may be for me. Have I side-stepped God’s commandments, conformed to the world, ‘defiled’ myself and in essence, forgotton about who God is, who I am supposed to be?
As I read A.W. Tozer’s Pursuit of God, and it mentioned about wanting God and not God and something else (be it career, children, car..) and that all pursuit for God should be collapsed into just God/love.
As I looked through my new year resolution, set with good intentions in areas of body, mind, soul and heart so that I may strengthen myself for God.. deep down, I know that not all of it is pure.. e.g.
reading bible everyday on the outward is to know God, but I want to read one chapter a day cos I’ve been doing that and proud to show that off
building this website on the outward is to minister and evangelise, but I also want lots of hits and some income
when I can have a heart just for God? and how do I get there?

Hello Clueless Clay,
Am touched by your candour and sincerity, and just wanted to encourage you as a fellow pilgrim to enjoy God on your journey.
It’s important to read the Bible daily - we may not start with totally pure intentions (can we ever?) but I believe that as we meet God along the way, He changes us and if we respond aright, our intentions will also change.
