and reduce time spent in front of the TV which I always find it numbing for my brains.
My family took out the only board game we have at home during this New Year gathering and found a new (very competitive) joy in playing Scrabble.
My score in a 3-player game was 164 and 141; and the combined score was just short of 400. Supposedly, combined score of 500-600 count as good. Each player was given 2 minutes to form his/her word cos playing the online Scrabble with 10 minutes’ timing had pushed us to form words quickly (and we wonder how other online Scrabble players could be so fast and what word is that they’re playing?).
We realised that there are a list of 2-letter words in the Tournament World List (”TWL”) which are acceptable in a Scrabble game though not allowed in Oxford Dictionary. In any case, I’m practicing on this new opensource game I’ve downloaded (Quackle), thanks to Wikipedia for pointing it out!
