With many excuses for not exercising (believe me, I was taught in the basic exercise class all the answers to common excuses. Obviously, theoretical answers have no foothold in reality), I decided to engage in activities that may possibly wean me off the sedentary lifestyle. I started with taking a longer route through the park when running errands. Smell the flowers and keep fit. I also redecorated my room, burning some calories as I engaged the creative side of my brain (which is which side?). This would also bring happiness to people who felt like they owned nothing in this world (just look at your room!) Lastly, I browsed the library. This I term browsing therapy – it keeps you feeling intellectual among the shelves of books and it keeps you fit as you walk, stand and carry the books.
No more rambling on fitness from me, but you feel free to share your own weaning tactics!
