After browsing the library, I thought of browsing the web on bilingual bible stories. Well, there is none in Chinese and English! Being my systematic self, I combed through (up to 5 Google search pages) for words “bible story”, “bible stories”, “chinese bible stories” and “children bible stories”.
Confirmed NO SIMILAR PRODUCT in the e-market.
Most of the sites offer free English (only) bible stories and there is none with a comprehensive list. As with hardcopy bible stories, some are heavy with their personal styles and I am again wary of amending the bible at man’s discretion. Of course, every bible story author will face this issue.
Many of the sites offer free resources for Sunday school, like coloring and craftwork. This is no doubt interesting to children, but for now, there’s only me, myself and mei and I have to focus on writing bible stories in English, Chinese with Pinyin.
I hope to keep this blog going even though I would be up to my neck writing.
p.s. just thinking of doing it is intimidating. It takes a lot of effort to write a book, not to mention in Chinese with the Pinyin! … ! …
