[...] There are, however, pros that make me take that leap for a baby: (1) improve communication with my parents on the bible; I came back to Singapore partly to tell my parents about Jesus and bring them to church. But, I have not been successful in explaining the bible to them because I do not know how to do so in Cantonese. (2) Enjoy the Cantonese service and like to be part of it and (3) Get off that Baby Bottle! [...]

[...] 1. Sharing Sincerely - When I first joined a homecell (even before I received Christ), I was puzzled why Christians need to meet up weekly to share their ‘life stories’. One fine week (after I received Christ for about 1 month), it hit me in the midst of a homecell discussion that ‘..we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.’ 2 Corinthians 1:3-5; I believe that sharing, comforting and encouraging christians, especially those who are taking their first step into ministry, is very important and often lacking. When I decided to get off the baby bottle and take the step to ‘mature’, I felt a sense of loss and uncertainty. ‘Which area should I serve?’ ‘What can I do?’ ‘Can I say no if I don’t feel comfortable?’ These are questions which I felt that there’s noone I could ask: Church leaders/ actively serving mature christians, christians who are not in any ministry or non-christians would all have their own (and likely different) answers. With this in mind, I decided to share sincerely (and authentically) on my baby steps in ministry. [...]
